Music enthusiasts, mark your calendars for The Majestic Theatre’s Jazz, Funk, and Blues Concert on June 9th at 7:00pm. The night includes 4 incredible bands playing a variety of jazz, funk, and blues hits. The event is produced by Keith & Susan Locklear in collaboration with The David Ater Dyslexia & ADHD Foundation and The Ross County NAACP. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the David Ater Dyslexia and ADHD Foundation, Chillicothe BBB Music Store’s Youth Musical Instrument Program, and The Majestic Theatre.
The Lineup:
BBJ Project (Chillicothe, OH)
A 7-piece Jazz, Funk, Blues, & Gospel band from Chillicothe. Formed in 2016, the band is as busy as ever and can often be found playing and supporting local charitable events.
Thump Daddy Funk Band (Columbus, OH)
Based in Columbus, Ohio, Thump Daddy Funk Band is a high-energy, 4 piece group known for keeping audiences on their feet with the best of true funk music.
Hitman Blues Band (Savannah, GA)
All the way from Savannah, Georgia, The Hitman Blues brings a set filled with hot blues, rock and nu-jazz tunes. The group has been playing together for over 10 years and is always a crowd favorite, wherever they may be playing.
Urban Jazz Coalition (Columbus, OH)
Our neighbors from the north, The Urban Jazz Coalition, have been entertaining audiences for over two decades. Bringing a lively blend of Jazz & R&B to the Majestic stage and to jazz festivals across the country.
